BIPA INTENSIVE PROGRAMS
Bahasa Indonesia for Non-Native Speakers
Bahasa Indonesia for Non-Native Speakers Program (BIPA Program) is designed to train international students to actively communicate in both written and spoken Indonesia.
PROGRAMES AND LENGTH OF STUDY
BIPA 1: Elementary to Intermediate Level
BIPA 2: Intermediate to Advanced Level
BIPA 3: Bahasa Indonesia for Specific Purposes
BIPA 1 & 2 Programs take four months each program from February 2014 to May 2014 and from September 2014 to December 2014.
BIPA 3 Program takes two months from June 2014 to July 2014
Classes are scheduled five days a week: Monday to Friday, from 10:15-12:15 WIB. The language skills taught cover speaking, reading, listening, writing, vocabulary building, and grammar.
Additionally BIPA Program provide extracurricular activities such as short visits to local areas which are arranged to familiarize students with daily life of Indonesian Society.

- BIPA 1 :
As a prerequisite to attend BIPA 1 Program, the applicant must graduate from High School level or equivalent, shown by their DIPLOMA. The applicant must understand English.
- BIPA 2 :
The applicant has completed BIPA 1 Program at PPB Atma Jaya
- BIPA 3 :
The applicant has completed BIPA 2 Program at PPB Atma Jaya with minimum grade of B.
APPLICATION OF PROCEDURES:
Application Living Abroad
To enroll in BIPA Programs, the applicant needs a Socio Cultural Visa or Students VISA.
SOCIO CULTURAL VISIT VISA
This visa is given to the Applicant who is willing to enroll in BIPA Program 1 for 1 semester (4 moths).
This visa is valid for one or two month stay and the visa can be extended once a month up to two times the nearby Immigration Offices in Indonesia.
The Applicant must send a full of copy of their passport (the whole book) to PPB Atma Jaya (PPB) Office by e-mail. If you are accepted as a students of PBB Atma Jaya, PPB Office will arrange an Invitation.
This visa is given to the Applicant who is willing to enroll in BIPA Programs for two semester (1 year).
To apply for this visa, the Applicant must send these following documents to PPB Office via post or email three (3) months before the program started:

|Copy of Diploma, Transcript, and Academic Certificate|
|Copy of Passport (the whole book, the minimum valid date is 18 months when the applicant is applying for Student Visa|
|3 (three) recent passport photograph (4x6cm) with red color background|
|Statement from Hospital or physician stating that the Applicant is physically and mentally healthy|
|A letter from Indonesian Embassy in Applicant’s country or from Applicant’s Embassy in Indonesia stating the Applicant’s nationality and willingness to participate in BIPA Intensive Program at Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, Jakarta|
|A letter from the Applicant’s sponsor or guarantor which stated their responsibilities to finance all the Applicant’s expenses while participating in BIPA Intensive Program at Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, Jakarta|
|A statement letter of Applicant’s willingness to obey the Indonesian rules|
|A statement letter of Applicant’s willingness to obey the regulations of BIPA Intensive Program|
PPB Office will forward the application to the Indonesian Ministry of Education. After the Ministry of Education issues a Study Permit Letter, PPB Office will arrange the telex letter (cable visa) to the immigration. Using the study permit letter and the telex letter (cable visa), the Applicant can apply the Student Visa at the Indonesian Embassy.
Within 7 days of Applicant’s arrival in Indonesia, the Applicant must report to PPB office. PPB Office will issue a recommendation letter for the Applicant to apply for KITAS (Limited Stay Permit) and report to the local police.
PPB Office can cancel the application if the Applicant fails to obtain the study permit letter from the Indonesian Ministry of Education.
Applicants Living in Indonesia
KITAS holders or Social Cultural Visa holders can apply for BIPA Intensive Program directly to BIPA Program by bringing of their KITAS or Passport and filling in application form.
PPB Atma Jaya will send a statement of acceptance to each applicant accepted to BIPA Decision on acceptance is confidential and absolute.
Payments made without presenting the official statement of acceptance are non-refund.

Tuition fee for 160 academic hours
BIPA 1 Rp 8.500.000,-

Tuition fee for 80 academic hours
BIPA 3 Rp 5.000.000,-
Fee for student visa: Rp. 4.500.000,-
Payment for Registration, tuition fee, and Telex (cable visa) can be made by:

Please note that transfer fee both the transmitted and beneficiary bank should be paid by the applicant. PPB office does not receive cheque or credit cards.
Tuition fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
