Evand Halim is a fabulous and magnificent teacher. He has a very wide and in-depth knowledge about legal translation aspects and law subject. He is very generous and openhanded in sharing and transferring his valuable knowledge to all of his students without exception. He will certainly answer any question in such way that makes us to understand the background, the concept and the fact of the words in question. Moreover, his personality combined with his knowledge and experience as a lecturer, translator and linguist has created an active, dynamic, lively and effective learning process. I personally learnt a lot when attending his class. My knowledge in legal translation has been improving and getting broadened since the day I met him at class. I do believe that you will have the same feeling as mine when you decide to attend his class.

LTC’s syllabus is precisely adjusted with the need of students who are interested in learning legal translation, even for translators who want to improve and add their knowledge and insights in legal language and translation, both theories and practice.

Evand Halim’s teaching method is a combination of both practitioner and academic basis, but the most important is that he teaches his students and explains the materials with his heart and passion. His sharing-knowledge method has made his students to promptly understand the sentence to be translated. His knowledge of legal translation and legal subject is amazing and his teaching experience is undoubtedly remarkable. This makes him different with other teacher I have ever had.

I really want to express more about Evand Halim, but all I can say is that he is the real expert in his subject he teaches. I would certainly recommend this course to all members of Himpunan Penerjemah Indonesia (Association of Indonesian Translators) who really want to learn more about legal language and improve their knowledge in legal translation.
